Hi! I’m Candace Sinclair, the owner of this blog. I live in Mount Vernon, Washington, which is a Pacific Northwest seaside town known worldwide for its daffodil and tulip fields. I’m about two hours north of Seattle (we don’t consider miles when talking about locations here …it’s all about how long it takes you to get somewhere).
My passion and skill sets have allowed me to earn a living through focused efforts in the creative side of life—writing, publishing, marketing, and photography. When I’m not working in my studio, I like trying out new organic and healthy recipes. The ones that are keepers make their way into my food photography blog. My photo shoots go from local areas to anywhere in the world, and I’m happy with my face behind a camera. That probably explains why I’m also a stock photographer and sell my photos online.
I created this blog for sharing the information and experiences I’ve had with marketing products and services online. Not every internet marketer can be trusted, but one thing you’ll learn about me is I operate with honesty and integrity. I will not recommend any product or service that I have not personally used. I will also tell you about products that I won’t promote even though the hype in the online forums and social circles would have you believe these will work for you.
Whether my marketing experience started when I was selling Girl Scout cookies door to door as a youngster, or from studying all types of writing and entering contents, I’ve always loved the marketing phase. Why? It allowed me to explore unlimited ways of selling something that I had either made or was selling on someone else’s behalf.
To profit and benefit from a successful marketing campaign takes planning, hard work, and of course, having a product or service that’s of the highest quality that customers will want to buy. So, let’s say you have a product you’ve created. It’s finished and now you’re ready to sell it. But where do you start and what do you do first? Good questions. That’s where I come in to help.
Without making you download my CV or posting every last detail about what I’ve done in my past, I’ll just say that I’ve created and owned three publishing companies, Hawaiian Publishing, Paradise Creek Books, and Pacific Creek Books (a Christian imprint), and I also began teaching and mentoring authors in person and online through my website, The Writer’s Mentor. I was the VP of Product Development for IBID Publishing in Bellevue, Washington, and I also worked for Microsoft as a technical writer and team lead for three divisions in Redmond, Washington.
I am a woman of faith and I believe in documenting my gratitudes every day in a personal journal. Being grateful and living with the joy that each day brings is how I live. My life is not focused on money, fame, or having expensive toys. My goal is to help as many people as I can achieve their dreams of success. I’m a mentor, a teacher, and a giver. I can mentor you if you want to learn. I can teach you what to do next so you don’t fail. I can give you all the encouragement and resources you will ever need to get you on the path to live your dream. Your only role is to raise your hand and say, “Yes, please help me. I’m ready!”
